You are invited to attend this special public forum:-

NOT JUST ANOTHER WAR
MYTH AND REALITY IN OCCUPIED PALESTINE

The death of hundreds of people in Gaza brought into limelight once again the happenings in the Occupied Territories . But the final solution to the conflict evades analysts and political observers particularly those working within the Western media whose portrayal of the issue has always been on this assumption: that it is a result of competing national aspirations of the Jews and Muslims for their own state. In order to understand any issue, a knowledge of its origin and background is vital. The Palestinian conflict has been given the utmost coverage, only to cover the truths and give recognition to the myths surrounding its very nature.

So what is the nature of the conflict? Who are the interested parties in the Palestinian question? What are the pitfalls of the countless solutions coming out from Arab and Western capitals? Why have the continued killings of Palestinians generated so much passion among the Arab masses but only statements of regret from their governments? How does it differ from other contemporary wars between nations?

This forum aims not only to dispel the myths and false premises which have together created a flood of analyses on the so-called ‘Israel-Palestine’ conflict, but also aims to give an overview, historical and current perspective, on the issue.

ISA?pertahankannya?...

http://minaq-jinggo.fotopages.com

I'm just lost for words when i saw this!! ini nak menegakkan maruah melayu atau MENJATUHKAN? who ever did this, you should be ashamed of yourself..apa jua justifikasi yang anda berikan MESKIPUN sekiranya wanita tersebut telah mengeluarkan kata2 kesat sekalipun(in which i don't think is the case), there should be NOTHING, NO CIRCUMSTANCES at all that the person have to act that way...

lets get cracking!!!

i'm starting this as an individual effort to urge more lawyers to vote..knowing the statistic is that only 2000+ lawyers vote during elections scares the shit outta me!!we have to get more lawyers to be involved in the process!!

what im currently doing is to go to KL Bar's website n look through the list of lawyers n get their email so that i can send them an email urging them to vote..its a simple thing to do.just have a template email so that you can send an email blast once u have all the email addresses!!!

i cant do this on my own so im urging anyone who gives a damn!, sorry, i mean who cares for the Bar, to prove that we can get more lawyers to vote this year!!!

so i'm starting with A today..(dun thnk i can reach everyone by the end of the election..) NEED HELP!!!

SO DROP ME A LINE IF URE INTERESTED N WE CAN WORK THIS OUT TOGETHER!!
my email add : sashalyna@gmail.com

insyaAllah, we can!!

they GOT my VOTE!!

MALAYSIAN BAR COUNCIL ELECTION IS HERE!!

ITS TIME PEOPLE, (FELLOW LAWYERS) TO PRACTICE OUR RIGHTS!

elections for the Bar Council is HERE all thru out NOVEMBER!!BC secretariat will be sending out the ballots by the 1st week and ALL 12,800 or so lawyers can then VOTE!!

VOTE!VOTE!VOTE!! out of 12,800 lawyers, usually only 2000-3000 ballots will b collected by the BC secretariat for the purpose of the election!!this is very SAD news for me and an alarming fact!!

fellow lawyers NEED TO 'come out' and vote!!what is so hard about ticking the ones u 'believe' in(12 IS THE MAXIMUM TICKS) and sending the ballot back to bar council!!!i think this is the TASK that we need to take on, i.e. to urge fellow lawyers to VOTE!!

young lawyers, esp if ure from a big firm..i challenge you!!!go to each lawyer n/or partner n ask them to vote!!knock on their door if u have too!!this is the future of the Bar we're talking about!!

everyone else, get ur frens who're too macho to vote, to cut the crap n get a pen n tick those names n send it back to BC!!!email blast to all ur fellow frens n urge them to vote n dun be a freaking bystander!!

vote for change!!

vote for those who will actually DO the work and commit themselves in serving the Bar!!

vote for those you know will definitely fight for us and NOT just stand by and do nothing n worse!!!, don't even come for meetings!!!

Vote for those who believe in the Bar!

Vote for those you've seen working their *ss off for doing what is right and what needs to be DONE!!

but most important of ALL, just VOTE!!better still if u dun gv a shit, gv ur ballot to me n i'll vote for u..or if u just don't have time to send the ballot back to BC...i'll send it for you..how's that?...

n Vote for those who KNOW THAT LEGAL AID is here to STAY n WE ARE IN NEED OF WHAT HAS BEEN FIXED TO BE GIVEN TO LEGAL AID N IF POSSIBLE, MORE FUNDS!

REMEMBER, REMEMBER THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER..!!LIKE I SAID, HOPEFULLY THE OBAMA EFFECT WILL CM OUR WAY N START A RIPPLING EFFECT...(i'll keep my views bout obama for another blog session..hehehe)

come on people, VOTE!!!!!!

1. Tuan Haji Sulaiman Abdullah
2. Dipendra
3. Lim Chee Wee
4. Christopher Leong
5. Cecil Rajendra
6. Andrew Khoo
7. Edmund Bon
8. Zarizana Abdul Aziz

(the numbers represent the pic, NOT in anyway to show my preference :) )

p/s: the people i vote for, might change from time to time, at least until the due date for the election that is, simply because some of them i have never had the chance to work with personally BUT on a bigger picture(other than my personal view of a person), the one thing that works for me is, if u do WORK for the Bar and want to improve the Bar, u got my vote!

DSAI selepas kemenangan yang sememangnya miliknya sejak dulu lg..THE PEOPLE HAS SPOKEN..nak question ape lagi?
pak isham mengatakan(www.tukartiub.blogspot.com) akhirnya DSAI angkat sumpah juga..

i gues all in all we owe thanks to future opposition(read:not the present simple opposition) fear and doing all the 'right' things wrongly..tima ksih juga pd saiful yg mengaibkan diri sendiri sehingga sanggup mengaku dirinya(read:a**) menjadi alatan atau mainan politik dan terima kasih juga kepada puteri2 **** dan putera **** yg telah mengaibkan diri dengan membuat aksi2 lucah ttp berita mengatakan PKR yg membawa masalah kepada ke-smooth- an by-election pd kali ini (whut tha?)..

now, let us move forward and rid off all these money-sucking politicians (i knw i'm not sposed to discredit someones religious beliefs tp Islam mengajar seorang umat itu mengambil duit rakyat kah untuk kesenangan diri sendiri?) ya Allah, jauhkanlah diriku daripada melakukan sebarang tindakan seperti mengambil hak org lain yang bukan hak ku. Amin.

DSAI, laksanakan tanggungjawabmu...bersama-sama rakyat disisimu...

PROTES rally

so, we come back to the pic i posted..the relevance of having the peaceful rally was not so much of being a die hard DSAI fan or supporter BUT the fact that i cant afford RM 2.70 per liter for petrol!!i am not a member of any political party nor am i pro government but don't mistake me for a backbencher!i have my views and i don't think i can fathom the fact that ive been brought up a certain way and was taught natural justice, equality, i read LAW for God's sake, and i AM a muslim. so if i see something wrong there is NO way i can say that it is RIGHT! i dun think its fair for the media to pose that the rally went haywire and there was rioting and all when i can say for a fact that it was as peaceful as peaceful can be! i respect the MB's decision to compromise with the police to have the rally in the stadium! and all i can say bout the "act" that performed at the rally, u got what u deserved!(the very ethics of a performer is?is that u read n know ur crowd NOT have a couldnt careless attitude and do as you please..maybe u were 'fed' in some way (who knows?) ;p )

all i can say to my parents is this, i'm not trying to disobey u in way..i'm not trying to prove that i'm capable or that i'm right (as for a person's character, u can expect me to speak up for him, do u?) i just feel that if i see or feel that my rights or anyone's right is being violated, i would not just turn away and say mind my own business.

ive studied history, i've seen what has happened at out neighbouring country..i do not expect myself to condone or act the same way..i would never want to see my country gone to ruins, i do not want to be part of a riot or civil war or political turmoil..i would do the best i can prevent that..what everyone wants is for a just, peaceful country. no issue of feeling oppressed, no issue of injustice, no issue of famine and poverty, no issue of the lack of necessity of livelihood! we are a capable nation, we are able to prevent this and find solutions to this, y cant we? y are there still malaysian who cant afford to go to school?y are our children not fed..how cme a family has to sleep in the darkness coz there is no electricity, how come their roof keep falling apart, how come they cant have nasi lemak..these are day to day basics and there are malaysians who are deprived of this!

the question is always what can anybody do?if u let somebody try meb there will be different results..the thg is from 1955 the same 'people' is doing the job..are we, malaysians really that terrified of change or are we being "fed" to feel that we cant have change coz change would be directing ourselves from the norms and we cant have that!!

to one person i say this, to ask someone to swear holding the Quran would mean that you yourself would then be subjected to do the same!!(not that i agree with the notion that religion should be used as a tool just to try to impress people that u might be right!)

talk about being updated..

Malaysians are NOT in any way violent. we have a strong foundation of being courteous, loving, war-free, hate-free and berbudi bahasa. and we do not in any way would want to act or behave as what is seen in "world's most SHOCKING videos!".
