sulitkah bilik itu?

BILIK SULIT…

A lot of credit really has to go to the EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, FADIAH NADWA FIKRI & kak.lat (sbb xnak namenyer dihighlight…hehehe), director n co-director, Hishamuddin Rais n Mislina and the CAST…yg sgt2 bagus dan talented n feel n sgt2 berpotensi utk menjadi SB..hehehe..(si emcee, CIK FARHANA juga telah menjalankan satu tugas yg baiK!!)

(saya, setakat membantu di mana2 yg perlukan bantuan..jual tiket, cuci toilet, menyapu, jual badge, t-shirt, buku, war2kan kepada sesiapa yg berminat n insyaAllah akan menjadi emcee di pulau pinang..woo-hoo…)

Bilik Sulit is a theatre of recollections of former detainees and their families of the corrupt, draconian and inhumane, ISA. And to think that whatever was portrayed was not even 5% of the horrible things that they had to endure (due to the extreme keganasan dan inhumane acts that was subjected upon the detainees, I think it wud be inappropriate to show that to the public). The emcee was true to her words when she said that generally at the start of a movie there is a disclaimer clause that says the movie has nothing to do with anyone, dead or alive and wholly fictional but for Bilik Sulit, IT related to those who are dear or alive and based on their experiences as an ISA detainee. What’s even sadder is the fact that not only it affects the detainees, it affects their families too.

The ‘realness’ of the acts depicted in Bilik Sulit is almost scary. Most of us, who has an idea of the authorities capabilities and/or power that they have, cringe with a deep sense of anger as we can almost imagine what the detainees have gone through throughout the HELL hours/days/months/years of their lives. And others who are still clueless could either be enlightened or still stay in denial or ignorance.

I salute the actors for such a strong conviction and commitment in portraying their plots and roles!! They really have done an awesome job!! To the organizers, Alhamdulillah, to those who came and to the detainees and their family, we have brought a bit of light in their hearts!

To those who missed the show, don’t fret..Catch us soon in Penang!!!

My highlight was meeting THE PIAN HABIB…(and to shamelessly admit that I was wrong to say he did not exist) and former detainees of ISA and their family.

And there’s also a really cool song by Meor called ISA (Ikut Suka Aku) penned by Comrade Amer Hamzah Arshad…
