today's post is bout this saturday..didnt intend to write but my dad started the ball rolling so here goes..

this saturday, 1.8.2009 adalah satu hari yg akan jd sgt busy..for me and for loads of other people..

for me, i'll be going to uia to register for DSLP(Dip. in Syariah Legal Practice) :) and i have a wedding to attend to and i'm gna be on standby for LAC(Legal Aid Centre's Urgent Arrest Team)..(nk dating lg..cane ni?) ;p

bagi yg selebihnya, PERKASA (whoever they maybe) wna hold a counter rally for PRO-ISA, on the same day..along the same route..

Gerakan Mansuhkan ISA has been planning to organise this for months and it has been soemthing that is due for so long..i believe the public are still unaware of the realities of having ISA in our country (go here )..

i cant talk much with my dad about a whole lot of things..yes, i love him and i'm quite sure he cares bout me deeply but there's not much to talk about unless we wna end up arguing..esp when it comes to the issue of our nation. i dont think we've ever had the same view on things..

i ws about to jump into my myvi for work and he suddenly said, "JGN NGENGADE NK JOIN2 RALLY HARI SABTU NIE"..

i was like, huh?!

its not about me joining..its not bout what the police will/can/want to do that bothers me, they'll do it anyway in the name of protecting the larger public..but its a matter of principle..

i respect and believe everyone has the right to their own opinion and ive never been the type to coerce any1 into following mine but not allowing me to join because the police refused to give permit?coz they say they might arrest the troublemakers?

of coz i do not want to get entangle with all that and i'd shy away from it as far as i can but in the name of duty..if i am faced with the fact that i cant see my clients who are being arrested, and am threatened with arrest, what does a lawyer to do?

u sent me to read law, i read law..i'm supposed to know the law and upheld it in the name of justice(as stated in my religion and the pillars of my nation) and now u ask me to take a step back?

ok,sounding a bit cocky here..but the last word is..i will NOT be participating but i am with the urgent arrest team and if they need me, that is where i'll be at..
